Overview
17B and 17BA are thin carbon paper materials that can be used as gas diffusion layer (GDL) substrates in PEM fuel cells, water electrolyzers and related electrochemical systems. Belonging to the same lightweight carbon paper family, both grades have a typical thickness of 175 µm and are designed for applications requiring stable conductivity, controlled air permeability and reliable structural performance. Compared with 17B, 17BA offers a lower areal weight and higher compressed thickness at 1.0 MPa, giving users additional flexibility for component selection and stack design.
